Cutimed Sorbact Dressing Pads
Cutimed Sorbact Dressings are the first to remove bacteria and fungi from contaminated and infected wounds without a chemically active agent. Instead, they use the physical principle of hydrophobic interaction which causes bacteria and fungi to become physically and irreversibly bound to the specially coated surface of DACC within 30 seconds, simply removing them from the wound bed. It also means that there are no contraindications or side effects that are associated with the use of other antimicrobial dressings.
Cutimed Sorbact Dressings can safely be used on all types of colonised or infected wounds regardless of their aetiology, including chronic wounds such as venous, pressure or diabetic foot ulcers, post-operative or dehisced surgical wounds, traumatic wounds and wounds after excision of abscesses. They can also be used prophylactically to prevent recurrence, providing moisture is resent.
Cutimed Sorbact Dressing Pads are available in packs of 5 in sizes 7cm x 9cm and 10cm x 10cm and as a pack of 20 in size 10cm x 20cm.
