Suresign Diabetes Screening Test

Suresign Diabetes Screening Test detects whether you have glucose in your urine, which can often indicate the onset of diabetes. The test is very accurate, detecting even very small amounts of glucose and gives you professional results in just 90 seconds.

The easy to use home test shows results by a colour change on the test strip that you compare to the colour chart supplied in the pack:
  • Normal/Negative: If the sensor pad is still a very pale green colour, the result is negative. No colour change indicates that there is no detectable glucose (sugar) in your urine.
  • Abnormal/Positive: If the sensor pad becomes a progressively darker colour, the test is positive. Any colour change is considered a positive reaction and indicates that you have glucose in your urine, so it is important that you consult your doctor.
Diabetes can occur at any time and can develop rapidly, gradually or indefintely. After the age of 40, the risk for diabetes increases, so it is advisable to test several times a year. Pregnant women, people who are overweight and those with a family history of diabetes may consider testing more frequently.

Suresign Diabetes Screening Test contains:
  • 3 x Glucose Test Strips.
  • 1 x Colour Chart.
  • 1 x Product Instructions.
You should perform the test about two hours after your last substantial meal.
  1. Collect a urine sample in a clean dry container and test as soon as possible.
  2. Open the foil pouch and remove the Glucose Test Strip (do not open in a steamy bathroom).
  3. Examine the test strip prior to use. The sensor pad should be a pale green colour. Discard if sensor is damaged or discoloured.
  4. Completely immerse the test area of the test strip in the urine until sensor pad is wet.
  5. Drain off any excess urine.
  6. Wait 90 seconds, then compare the colour of the test sensor pad to the colour chart provided. Ignore any colour changes that occur after 3 minutes.
  • Do not open in a steamy bathroom.
  • Do not open until ready to use.
  • Do not touch the Sensor Pad.
  • Use Test Strip immediately after opening.
  • Do not let the Test Strip come into contact with any liquid prior to use.
  • Store kit in a dry place at room temperature (18-27°C)). Do not store in the refridgerator.
  • Do not use after expiry date printed on the pack.
  • Do not re-use the test strip.
  • Discard Test Strip after use in normal household waste.
  • Suresign Diabetes Screening Test is not a conclusive test for diabetes. Positive results must be confirmed by your healthcare professional.
  • Large amounts of Vitamin C or fruit juices (ascorbic acid) and/or antibiotic therapy can lead to lower or false negative results.
  • Substances that cause abnormal urine colour, such as drugs containing azo dyes (e.g. Pyridium, AZO Gantrisin, AZO Grantanol), nitrofurantoin and riboflavin, may affect the readability of the test result. If urine appears to be discoloured, do not peform the test.
  • Blood in urine may affect the final colour reaction.
