Effico tonic contains the vitamin supplements thiamine known as vitamin B1 and nicotinamide (niacin, vitamin B3) together with caffeine, a mild stimulant.
Thiamine plays a vital role in the activities of many enzymes. It is essential for the breakdown of carbohydrates. It is important for the maintenance of a healthy nervous system, healthy muscles and normal heart function.
Thiamine is present in all unrefined food such as wheatgerm, bran, wholemeal or enriched cereals and breads.

Nicotinamide plays a vital role in the activities of many enzymes. It is important for the production of energy from blood sugar and in the manufacture of fats. It is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system, for a healthy skin and digestive system. It is involved in the production of sex hormones.
Caffeine is a mild nervous system stimulant which is included to counteract the symptoms of tiredness and listlessness.

Adults and the Elderly:
10ml (two 5ml spoonfuls) immediately before meals, three times a day.
Children (over 6 years):
2.5 to 5ml (half to one 5ml spoonful) taken as for adults.
