Bonjela Teething Gel

Bonjela Teething Gel relieves the pain and discomfort associated with teething in babies from 2 months. The banana flavoured gel contains lidocaine hydrochloride to soothe sore areas in the mouth and an antiseptic called cetalkonium chloride to kill bacteria and help prevent infections,
  • For babies over the age of 2 months only: Massage approximately one centimetre of gel onto the sore area. This can be repeated after 3 hours.
If the symptoms do not go away after 7 days of treatment, you should see your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Active Ingredients: Lidocaine Hydrochloride 0.33% w/w and Cetalkonium Chloride 0.01% w/w.
  • Other Ingredients: Ethanol, Glycerol, Hypromellose 4500, Sodium Cyclamate, Banana Flavour and Purifed Water.
  • Bonjela Teething Gel contains a small amount of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100mg per dose.
Do not give Bonjela Teething Gel if your baby:
  • Is under 2 months old.
  • Has liver or heart problems.
  • Is allergic (hypersensitive) to lidocaine, other local anaesthetic (e.g. prilocaine, bupivicaine, ropivacaine, mepivacaine...) or any of the ingredients in this gel.
  • Is taking medicines to treat high blood pressure (propanolol) or stomach conditions (cimetidine) or water-retention (diuretics). Speak to your pharmacist or doctor before using this product with other medicines.
