Bell's Chesty Cough Compound of Glycerin, Lemon & Ipecacuanha

Bells Chesty Cough Compound is an oral solution for the symptomatic relief of chesty coughs.

Directions
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: 5-10ml (one to two 5ml spoonfuls).

Not recommended for children under 12 years. Not more than 4 doses should be given in 24 hours.
Shake the bottle before use.
Ingredients
Active ingredients: Each 5ml contains, Ipecacuanha Liq. Ext. B.P. 0.0098ml, Glycerin B.P.0.5ml.
Other ingredients: Sucrose, Citric Acid, Lemon Oil, Acetic Acid, Camphor, Mixed Paraben, Amaranth, E123, Water.
Cautions
  • Consult your doctor or medicines to control pharmacist if you are taking medicines to control heart rhythm, or are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • Do not take if hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or suffer from diabetes, heart, kidney or diabetes, heart, kidney or liver disorders.
  • If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, you accidentally take too much, or experience any unusual side effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Excessive or large doses may cause stomach upsets, vomiting, diarrhoea and heart problems.
  • Unsuitable in hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.
  • E123 can cause allergic-type reactions including asthma. Allergy is more common in those people who are allergic to aspirin. Good dental hygiene is necessary. Parabens may cause difficult with breathing.
  • Do not use after the expiry date.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
