Bell's Strong Pholcodine Linctus provides symptomatic relief for unproductive coughs.
Dry coughs are best treated with a cough suppressant which stops the urge to cough.
Pholcodine is now the recommended replacement for codeine linctus, it is just as effective but manages to avoid the problems that are encountered with the use of codeine.

Bell's Strong Pholcodine Linctus is a liquid for oral use.
Pholcodine 10mg per 5ml.

Bell's Strong Pholcodine Linctus is a liquid for oral use.
- Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years of age take 5ml every two or three hours. The dose may be taken up to 4 times daily.
- Do not give to children under 12 years.
Pholcodine 10mg per 5ml.
Cautions
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, you have difficulty breathing or have other chronic lung problems or infection which produces lots of phlegm in the chest.
- Not be used in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors MAOI's (for depression) or within 14 days of stopping.
- Do not take with any other cough and cold medicine.
- Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless on the advice of your doctor.
