AutoDrop Eye Drop Guide

Developed together with the Royal National Institute for the Blind, AutoDrop Eye Drop Guide is the ideal solution for people who have difficulty administering eye drops, either missing the eye with the drop or blinking as the drop is delivered.

The unique design features a pinhole that draws your gaze away from the descending drop, whilst a small lip holds the lower eyelid down to prevent blinking. The nozzle is positioned perfectly over the eye, ensuring that the drops are successfully delivered on the first attempt, every time.

The reusable device keeps the eye drop container away from the eye at all times, making it easy to clean and preventing contamination and cross infection.

AutoDrop Eye Drop Guide is proven to work with most eye drop bottles, including Chloromycetin 5ml/10ml, Ciloxan 5ml, Gentamicin 10ml, Golden Eye 10ml, Oftaquix 5ml, Alomide 10ml, Betnesol 10ml, Emadine 5ml, Maxidex 5ml/10ml, Maxitrol 5ml and Voltarol Optha 5ml.
  1. Open AutoDrop. Loosen cap from eye drop bottle but do not remove completely.
  2. Locate the keyhole slot around the base of the bottle neck below the thread. Remove bottle cap.
  3. Close AutoDrop. Do not force the bottle nose into AutoDrop, it should close easily.
  4. Hold down lower eyelid. Place AutoDrop over the eye with the lip against the cheek.
  5. Tilt the head backwards. Look through pin-hole towards the light.
  6. Squeeze bottle gently to allow prescribed drops to fall into the eye.
  7. Open AutoDrop and replace top on eye drops bottle between doses.
  8. To clean AutoDrop remove eye drop bottle and wash AutoDrop in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
