Canesten AF Cream 1%
This soothing Canesten AF Cream 1% can be applied directly to the skin to treat fungal infections of the skin including sweat rash, jock itch, nappy rash and ring worm.
However if an athlete's foot infection has become inflamed, with red, sore and scaly skin, alternatively Canesten Hydrocortisone Cream can help. It has been specifically designed to clear the infection whilst relieving the irritation and soothing the inflammation. It is one of the products available without a prescription to treat both the symptoms and the underlying infection.
Ingredients
The active ingredient is Clotrimazole (1% w/w). The other ingredients are Benzyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Octyldodecanol and Purified Water.
Directions
Adults and children: apply thinly 2 or 3 times daily rubbing in gently. Use at least 4 weeks for dermatophyte and at least 2 weeks for candidal infections.
Wash your hands before and after applying the cream. Apply the cream thinly to affected areas 2 or 3 times a day and rub in gently. When treating Athlete's Foot, the foot should be washed and dried thoroughly, especially between the toes, before applying the cream.
If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult your doctor. Read enclosed leaflet carefully. Do not use cream to treat nail or scalp infections.
