Loceryl Curanail 5% Medicated Nail Lacquer

Loceryl Curanail 5% Medicated Nail Lacquer
is a once weekly, prescription strength treatment for fungal nail infections. Curanail is suitable for mild fungal nail infections (i.e. the upper half or sides of the nail are affected), and can be used for up to two nails.

Loceryl Curanail 5% Nail Lacquer contains a powerful agent called amorolfine, which is clinically proven to kill a variety of fungi. Amorolfine works by stopping the production of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. Without ergosterol, the cell membrane breaks down and the fungi are destroyed.

Each pack contains 3ml of nail lacquer (approximately a 3 month supply), together with re-usable applicators.

For each infected nail:
  1. File down the infected area of the nail with a new file, to prevent spreading the infection to healthy nails.
  2. Clean the nail surface using an alcohol swab, or nail polish remover.
  3. Apply the nail lacquer over the entire nail surface using one of the re-usable applicators. Allow to dry for approximately 3 minutes.
After use, wipe the rim of the bottle if it has any residue on it and replace the lid.

Do not use nail varnish or artificial nails during treatment as this may prevent Curanail from working.

Loceryl Curanail 5% Nail Lacquer should be applied once weekly. It is important to continue using the nail lacquer until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back. This usually takes 6 months for finger nails and 9 to 12 months for toe nails.

If there's no improvement after three months' treatment you'll need to see your pharmacist. It's a good idea to review your progress with a pharmacist every three months, to check your condition is improving.
