Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test

Food intolerances are caused by eating certain foods such as wheat or dairy products which don’t interact well with your body. They can lead to uncomfortable, but not life-threatening, symptoms such as bloating, tiredness, stomach pain and headaches. Food intolerances are much more common than food allergies and the two are often confused. Food intolerances can easily be managed by simply avoiding those foods which cause your intolerance which is why it's important to take a food intolerance test.

Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test checks for antibodies to common foods in the blood with results in just 10 days, using an easy finger prick blood sample collection.

Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test screens for:
  • Fruit (strawberry, kiwi, banana, orange).
  • Meat (beef, chicken, pork).
  • Milk (cow, sheep, mare, goat).
  • Grains with gluten (oat, barley, rye, spelt, kamut).
  • Grains without gluten (quinoa, wild rice, amaranth, buckwheat).
  • Hen egg.
  • Potato.
  • Wheat flour.
  • Rice.
  • Peanut.
  • Soy bean.
Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test is suitable for adults and children over 5 years of age.
  • When you receive your test kit, you can take the test immediately.
  • This test requires 100ul – two or three drops – of blood to be collected from your fingertip using the included safety lancet. Once you have managed to draw just a small amount of blood, simply press your finger over the capillary collection tube provided to store your blood sample.
  • When ready, ensure you complete all forms and post your completed test sample and forms back to the partner laboratory using the pre-paid envelope that is included in your test kit.
  • Your results will be emailed to you within one week of the laboratory receiving your sample.
If you receive a positive test result for any of the above-mentioned food intolerances, we recommend cutting down on your consumption of that particular foodstuff or simply removing it from your diet altogether. You should also visit your doctor or dietician to discuss your options.
