Traxam Pain Relief Gel


Traxam Gel is applied to the skin surface for the relief of local pain and inflammation. It is used in many muscular and joint conditions such as in sprains, strains, rheumatism, and mild arthritic conditions.

Directions
Adults and the elderly: Rub 1g of this medicine (approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) of gel) into the affected area(s) 2 to 4 times a day. Do not use for longer than 7 days. The total daily dose should not exceed 25g per day regardless of the number of affected areas.
Children: Not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Active Ingredient
Felbinac (Biphenylacetic Acid) 3% w/w

Warnings
  • It is possible that someone allergic to aspirin may be allergic to Felbinac. If allergic to aspirin, test on a small patch of skin to begin with.
  • Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings. This can enhance the absorption and increase the risk of adverse effects
  • Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes. If this occurs rinse with cold water and contact your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not use on broken skin or open wounds
  • Do not use if hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients
  • If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
  • Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding
Possible side effects include:
  • Rash
  • Pins and needles
  • Irritation
  • Flushing of the skin due to widening of the small blood vessels
  • Breathing difficulties due to a narrowing of the airways
  • Inflammation of the skin
  • Itchy rash (urticaria)
  • Irritation to the stomach lining
