Zantac 75 Tablets

Zantac 75 Tablets provide relief from heartburn and indigestion for up to 12 hours. They contain the active ingredient ranitidine, an H2-blocker that works at the source of the problem to prevent your stomach from producing too much acid. 
Adults and children aged 16 years and over:
  • Swallow 1 tablet with a drink of water as soon as you have symptoms.
  • If symptoms persist for more than one hour, take another tablet.
  • To prevent your symptoms you can take 1 tablet half an hour to an hour before eating or drinking.
  • Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.
  • Do not use for longer than 2 weeks.
  • Do not take more than the recommended dose.
  • Active Ingredient: Ranitidine Hydrochloride 84mg (equivalent to Ranitidine 75mg).
  • Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, Hypromellose (E464), Titanium Dioxide (E171), Red Iron Oxide (E172) and Triacetin.
Do not take Zantac 75 Tablets if:
  • You have ever had an allergic reaction to ranitidine or any of the ingredients.
  • You are under 16 years old.
Talk to your doctor before taking Zantac 75 Tablets if you:
  • Have difficulty swallowing.
  • Have porphyria.
  • Have unintended weight loss.
  • Are middle-aged or older with new or recently changed indigestion symptoms.
  • Have persistant stomach pain.
  • Have kidney or liver problems.
  • Are under regular medical supervision.
  • Have had a peptic ulcer.
  • Are elderly.
  • Have breathing problems.
  • Have a weak immune system.
  • Suffer from diabetes.
  • Are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Zantac 75 Tablets if you are taking any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription, particluarly:
  • Medicines to prevent clotting such as warfarin.
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers (e.g. aspirin and ibuprofen).
