Advantage 250 Spot On for Dogs 10-25kg
Advantage 250 Spot On for Dogs is fast acting and can be used for both the prevention and treatment of fleas in dogs. The active ingredient imidacloprid immobilises and subsequently kills fleas, stopping biting fleas in just three to five minutes and starting to kill adult fleas within an hour. It also kills flea larvae within 20 minutes of contact, both on your pet and in your home, wherever your pet goes. As Advantage Spot On kills adult fleas before they lay eggs, their lifecycle is broken at multiple stages.
Advantage Spot On kills fleas within one day of treating your pet, and each treatment prevents further flea infestation for up to four weeks on dogs. It can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis and treats biting lice. Treatment with Advantage Spot On should be repeated after 4 weeks. For dogs being treated for biting lice, it is recommended that you take your dog for a veterinary examination after 30 days as some dogs may require a second treatment.
Advantage 250 Spot On for Dogs 10-25kg is designed for dogs weighing between 10kg and 25kg, but should not be used on puppies that are unweaned and/or less than 8 weeks of age. Treatment of nursing bitches and queens controls flea infestation on both the dam and offspring.
Re-infestation from emergence of new fleas in the environment may continue to occur for six weeks or longer after treatment is initiated, therefore more than one treatment may be required, depending on the level of fleas in the environment. To help reduce this problem, use of a household flea spray and/or flea fogger is recommended, as well as the treatment of all household pets using the appropriate product for that animal.
Remove one pipette from the package. Hold pipette in an upright position, twist and pull off cap. Use reversed cap to twist and remove seal from pipette.
To treat dogs: With the dog in the standing position, part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
Do not allow recently treated animals to groom each other. The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occasionally occur if the animal licks the application site immediately after treatment. This is not a sign of intoxication and disappears after a short time without treatment. This product is for topical use and should not be administered orally. Do not use on rabbits intended for human consumption. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained in this product. Care should be taken to avoid the contents of the tube coming into contact with the eyes or mouth of the user or recipient animal.
