Prime Fifty Healthy Joints Tablets

Prime Fifty Healthy Joints Tablets are specially formulated to support your joints and connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments, to help keep them in prime condition and ensure you stay active and agile as you get older. As well as targeting joint health, they are also formulated to provide general health benefits to support the body as it ages, so there is no need to take a separate multivitamin.

Prime Fifty Healthy Joints Tablets contain:
  • Glucosamine: Found naturally in quite high concentration in joints, glucosamine is recognised throughout the world as a front line joint health ingredient. It is a basic building block of certain constituents of cartilage and is important for maintaining elasticity, strength and resilience of cartilage and helping to reduce damage to joints.
  • Chondroitin: Another material found naturally in joint tissues such as cartilage and connective tissues. Chondroitin tends to absorb water adding to the thickness and elasticity of collagen and is believed to destroy harmful enzymes in joint tissues which are responsible for breaking down cartilage.
  • Hydrolysed Collagen: Collagen plays a major role in healthy connectives tissues such as tendons and ligaments.
  • MSM (Methy Sulphonyl Methane): This contains a very high level of sulphur and it is the presence of this available sulphur that some believe is the reason why it has been shown in some studies to help joint health.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: This is found naturally in our body, mostly in the joint, various connective tissues and also the eyes too. It is also used in its injection form by doctors, for those with painful joints, including osteoarthritis, increasing the natural cushion within joint tissue.
  • Vitamin C, Manganese and Copper: Vitamin C has been shown to contribute to the formation of collagen, the protective layer between bones, whilst Manganese and Copper are proven scientifically to contribute to the maintenance of tendons and ligaments. As tendons and ligaments are both connected to bone, and collagen plays a key role in bone movement, these ingredients are highly relevant to support bone health. Vitamin C also plays a role in energy processes, the immune system and protecting cells against oxidative damage.
  • Selenium, Zinc and Vitamin C: One of the cell damaging mechanisms within the body is known as 'oxidative stress'. All three of these nutrients contribute to the reduction of this oxidative stress, so help protect against cell damage, some of which occurs withing the joints. Vitamin C also supports energy, the immune system, collagen formation helps protect cells from oxidative damage. Zinc also brings a whole range of other benefits including immunity and cognitive support.
  • Calcium: Contributes to bone health and also helps to support normal muscle function.
  • Vitamin D: Supports ongoing bone health.
  • Vitamin E: Also protect against cell damage caused by oxidative processes within the ageing body.
  • Vitamins B6 and B12: These support red blood cell formation and contribute to normal levels of homocysteine. Homocysteine is associated with cardiovascular problems and therefore it is important to maintain normal levels and not allow homocysteine to get too high.
  • Folate: This also helps maintain normal levels of homocysteine and has other health benefits such as red blood cell formation. It is involved in energy metabolism too.
  • Copper: Together with Vitamin C, this contributes to collagen formation and also to the maintenance of connective tissues.
The Prime Fifty range includes certain minerals that are more soluble and therefore more bio-available than most, namely bis-glycinates. This means that they are absorbed much more quickly absorbed than the more normal oxides and carbonates. The range also contains patented ingredient called Bioperine which has been proven in separate studies to also enhance the bio-availability of certain vitamins and minerals.
One tablet to be taken twice per day, with a cold drink at meal times. Do not exceed the recommended intake.
