Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg Tablets
Cetirizine belongs to the group of medicines known as antihistamines. It can be used to prevent and treat allergic conditions such as hayfever and some allergic skin reactions.
Exposure to pollen, pet fur, house dust or an insect bite can cause the body to produce histamine. The release of histamine causes allergic symptoms which can include rashes, sneezing, watery eyes and a running or blocked nose. Antihistamines stop the effects of the histamine and help to relieve these symptoms.
Cetirizine can also be taken for skin allergies such as rash, itching and uticaria (hives).
Ingredients
Each Cetirizine 10mg Tablet contains 10 mg of the active ingredient cetirizine hydrochloride.
Directions
Adults, Elderly and Children over 12: The dose is one tablet once daily.
Children aged 6-12 years: 1 tablet daily or half tablet twice a day.
Warnings
These tablets are not intended for children under the age of 6 years.
Not recommended for use during pregnancy or whilst breast feeding.
Read enclosed leaflet before use.
Contains lactose.
