Bactigras Medicated Tulle Gras Dressing
Bactigras Medicated Tulle Gras Dressing is proven to be antiseptically active against a range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms including Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and to reduce bacterial colonisation in vitro and in vivo. Made from gauze of leno weave impregnated with white soft paraffin BP containing 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate BP, it can be used for a wide range of wounds where there is a risk of infection, or on already infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibacterials. Examples include minor burns and scalds, lacerations, abrasions and other skin loss wounds and donor and recipient graft sites.
Bactigras Medicated Tulle Gras Dressing is designed to soothe, while chlorhexidine acetate protects the wound by minimising the risk of infection. The open weave design facilitates the passage of viscous exudate into an absorbent secondary dressing, allowing the dressing to be left in place for up to four days (depending on wound care requirements).
