Description

Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray

Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spay prevents and treats the common symptoms of allergic rhinitis (including hayfever)
in adults aged 18 years and over. It targets the 8 main symptoms of allergies: nasal congestion, sinus discomfort, watery eyes, runny nose, itchy nose, itchy eyes, sneezing and red eyes. The active ingredient - beclometasone diproprionate - is a corticosteroid that, when used daily, has an anti-inflammatory action that works in a similar way to your body's natural chemicals to control inflammation and your body's reactions to allergens.

Directions

Adults aged 18 years and over:
  • Spray two puffs into each nostril every morning and evening.
  • Once your symptoms have improved, you may be able to reduce the dose to one spray into each nostril every morning and evening.
  • Do not use more than 8 sprays (400 micrograms) in a day.
  • Use the lowest dose possible to control your symptoms.
  • If your symptoms do not improve within 14 days, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not use more than the recommended dose.
Beconase quickly starts to reduce inflammation and swelling in your nose, although it may take 2 or 3 days to build up to its maximum protective effect. To prevent your symptoms starting, start to use Beconase Hayfever two to three days before exposure to one of your usual 'triggers'. You should use the spray regularly to get the best results from it.
