Children in England are eating nearly three times the recommended amount of sugar, which is bad for their health. Surprisingly, half the sugar they consume comes from snacks and sugary drinks. To help families choose healthier snacks and reduce sugar intake, Change4Life recommends that parents 'look for 100 calorie snacks, two a day max.'

You can download a free Change4Life 'Food Scanner' app from the iTunes store or Google Play to help bring labels to life and see just how much sugar, salt and saturated fat is inside everyday snacks, foods and drinks. A Change4Life roadshow will visit shopping centres and supermarkets nationwide to show you how to use the app, as well as teaching you how to read the colour coded food labelling on the front of packaging to help you make healthier choices.
