Description

CliniMed LBF Barrier Film Foam Applicator 1ml x 5

LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film is indicated for the protection of intact or damaged skin that is at risk or likely to be compromised by corrosive bodily fluids suchas urine, faeces, digestive enzymes, wound drainage, adhesives and friction. LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film is a liquid intended for external use as a film-forming product. When applied to the skin, it forms a protective barrier between the skin and corrosive bodily fluids, adhesive products and friction. It is intended as a primary barrier against irritation from bodily fluids.

Pack Size - 5 x Barrier Film Foam Applicator.

Directions

1. Skin should be clean and dry prior to application of LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film
2. Apply a uniform coating of film to the area of concern using the foam applicator. Do not apply directly onto the wound.
3. If an area of skin is missed, reapply to that area only after the first application of LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film has dried (approximately 30 seconds).
4. If LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film is applied to an area with skin folds or other skin-to-skin contact, make sure the skin-contact areas are separated to allow them to dry before returning to normal position.
5. When used under adhesives tapes, dressings or devices:
a) Allow LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film to dry before covering with dressings or adhesive products.
b) Reapplication of LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film is necessary each time dressing and/or adhesive products are changed; the barrier is removed by the adhesive.
6. When used as a protectant against bodily fluids, faeces or urine and no adhesive products are applied to the skin:
a) Reapplication of LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Fluid is recommended every 24-48 hours, depending on the frequency of cleaning.
b) In extreme cases (e.g. constant diarrheal stooling) with very frequent cleansing, more frequent applications may be necessary (i.e. every 12-24 hours).
7. If desired, the film can be removed by using most medical adhesive removers as directed. Clean and dry the involved area and reapply LBF Sterile No Sting Barrier Film.
