Otrivine Congestion Relief 0.1% Nasal Spray
Otrivine Congestion Relief 0.1% Nasal Spray provides relief from the symptoms of nasal congestion due to colds, sinusitis and allergies, including hayfever for up to 10 hours, getting to work in as little as 2 minutes. It is suitable for adults and children over 12 years and contains the active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride which helps to open up and clear the nasal passages by reducing the excessive nasal secretions and returning the swollen blood vessels to their normal size.
Directions
Adults and children over 12 years of age:
- 1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times daily.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Do not take decongestants for more than 7 days in a row. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days please contact a doctor.
Ingredients
- Active Ingredient: Xylometazoline hydrochloride (0.1% w/v).
- Other Ingredients: Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, disodium edetate, levomenthol, cineole, sorbitol, polyoxylhydrogenated castor oil (macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate) and purified water.
Cautions
Do not use Otrivine Congestion Relief 0.1% Nasal Spray if you:
- Are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients in the spray.
- Have had recent neurosurgery.
- Are under 12 years old.
Talk to your doctor before using Otrivine Congestion Relief 0.1% Nasal Spray if you:
- Have heart or circulatory disease.
- Have glaucoma.
- Have an overactive thyroid.
- Have diabetes mellitus.
- Have hypotension.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Are you are taking or have recently taken any medicines (especially monoamine oxidase inhibitors or other antidepressants) including those obtained without a prescription.
