Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel

Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel is an intensive treatment for the treatment and prevention of gum problems, such as red, swollen or bleeding gums, that helps target problem areas directly. It is clinically proven to help put a stop to the first stage of gum disease, gingivitis (if left untreated this can progress to the irreversible second stage of gum disease, periodontitis, which can lead to tooth loss).

Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel can also be used to maintain mouth hygiene, promote healing after dental surgery or treatment, control recurring mouth ulcers, manage denture sore mouth and recurring oral thrush and prevent cavities for those at high risk of tooth decay.

The active ingredient in Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel is chlorhexidine digluconate, an antibacterial agent that kills the bacteria that causes plaque within 30 seconds. It also forms a protective layer over the teeth and gums to prevent plaque build up for up to 12 hours.
  • Gum disease: Brush your teeth for at least one minute once or twice daily using 2cm of gel. Continue the treatment for one month.
  • Mouth ulcers & oral thrush: Apply gel directly to the sore areas using your finger tip or a cotton bud once or twice daily for at least one minute. Continue use for 2 days after healing has occured.
  • Denture sore mouth: Thoroughly brush over all dentures with 2.5cm of gel on a moistened toothbrush, once or twice daily for about one month.
  • Dental surgery or tooth decay: Use as directed by your dentist.
If your symptoms persist, see your dentist.
  • Active Ingredient: Chlorhexidine digluconate 1% w/w
  • Other Ingredients: Hydroxypropylcellulose, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, sodium acetate, levomenthol, peppermint oil, isopropyl alcohol and water.
