Disposing of Unwanted Medicines

Unwanted medicines should always be returned to a pharmacy to be disposed of safely. This is a free service offered by all pharmacies. Throwing medicines in the bin could lead to them being found by children or those that they are not intended for and may cause them serious harm. Flushing medicines down the toilet or pouring them down the sink is a hazard to the environment and water supply.

Try to return unwanted medicines in their original packages if possible as some medicines may need special handling and always disclose whether there is any sharp or controlled medication.

If you would prefer to send your medicines back to us, please complete this form and send along with the medicines to the address on the form. Please note that we are unable to accept sharps (needles etc.)
