Program 266mg Oral Suspension for Cats
Program 266mg Oral Suspension for Cats is for the prevention and lasting control of flea infestations, and for the treatment of flea allergic dermatitis in cats.
Program 266mg Oral Suspension for Cats is suitable for all cats between 4.5kg and 9kg in weight, including pregnant cats and kittens taking solid food.
Program Oral Suspension contains Lufenuron, an insect development inhibitor (IDI). Female fleas feeding on treated animals will produce eggs out of which no larvae will hatch. The interruption of the flea life cycle results in a long-term, very effective flea control on the animal as well as in the environment.
Program Oral Suspension contains 6 ampoules, i.e. a 6 month supply.
Directions
Give one Program Oral Suspension ampoule monthly with a meal. You can give it with a small quantity of food before the rest of the meal is given, or immediately after feeding. Shake the ampoule prior to opening.
If cats have a high level of flea infestation at the start of the treatment, it may be necessary to administer a flea adulticide such as Frontline Spot On during the first few months. In cases of severe hypersensitivity, further use of an adulticide may be needed.
Program Oral Suspension is best used for flea prevention. When used this way, treatment should start in spring before the beginning of the flea season, and repeated monthly throughout the flea season and can be given year round.
All cats and dogs in a household must be treated in order to prevent the build up of developing fleas in the environment, thus establishing an infestation. For dogs, use Program Tablets.
