Dosage and Side Effects
Recommended dosage:
One alli capsule to be taken three times daily with each main meal containing fat (taken with water immediately before, during or up to one hour after the meal). This usually means one capsule at breakfast, lunch and dinner. No more than three 60mg capsules should be taken in 24 hours.
Note: alli only works if it is taken with a meal that contains fat. If someone misses a mean they shouldn’t take an alli capsule as alli has zero-effect upon non fat intake diets.
If a dose is missed and it is less than an hour since the last main meal (containing fat), then the dose can be taken. However, if more than an hour has elapsed since the last main meal, that capsule should be missed.
Duration of Treatment
Treatment with alli should not exceed 6 months.
If not weight has been lost after 12 weeks of using alli then please consider the following factors:
- Have you adjusted your diet to reduced calories and lower fat?
- Are you taking alli 3 times daily with a balanced diet or are you finding it hard to manage?
- Have you increased your activity levels?
Note: if no weight loss is experienced after implementing lifestyle changes and taking alli correctly then it is advised that you stop using alli.
