What causes back pain? What's back pain treatment & relief?

It is often difficult to identify the direct cause of back pain. Occasionally, the pain may be caused by medical conditions such as sciatica or a slipped disc. However, said conditions ordinarily come with additional symptoms, such as weakness, numbness and tingling.

How can I prevent back pain?

It is difficult to prevent back pain, but you can try and reduce your risk using methods such as staying active, doing back exercises and checking your posture whilst sitting. Further guidance can be found in the NHS exercise video here, as well as on the Backcare.org website. There are, however, a number of methods you can use for fast back pain treatment, back pain relief, and relief for lower back pain.

What can I use for over-the-counter back pain relief?

Deep Heat

There are a number of more natural methods that you can use for back pain treatment; these are available across the UK, from London to Liverpool, to Northampton and beyond. These include remedies such as deep heat patches. They are simple to use and offer great relief for lower back pain.

Cura Heat

We also offer the Cura-Heat Pain Relief patches for acute back pain relief, which help to increase your blood circulation, relax your sore muscles and get rid of any stiffness. Their discreet design means that you can ease your pain wherever you go, and whenever you need it.

Voltarol

If you prefer to target multiple areas quickly, we also offer Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief Gel for a cooling effect. The gel also contains diclofenac, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), blocking some of the chemicals that cause tenderness, swelling, and pain.

You should seek immediate medical assistance if you experience any of the following symptoms:
